Living Walls

Tika was born in Zurich, Switzerland and raised in Cairo, Egypt. She has been creating works of art since a very young age, in fact, by the age of ten, she was already pasting hand-drawn posters in the streets. While in Egypt, she became fascinated and obsessed with the art, architecture, and mythology of the early Egyptians. This influence remains prevalent in her art, and many of her murals contain animals or creatures that resemble Egyptian architecture as well as aspects of Aztec art. Tika experiments with different media, from paint to carving or burning wood. Her works reflect her worldwide travels and vision of global society while also echoing the cultures of the past.
